CMS is one of the most useful things on any website.
It’s mostly used for repeating content like blogs, case studies, and similar stuff.
Your template might include one of these, or maybe both.
Here’s how it works:
Click CMS in the top panel
On the left side, you’ll see all your collections
To add a new item, click New Item and simply fill in all the fields.
Click Save. The item will probably be in draft mode, so you’ll need to move it below by just dragging it down.
To edit an existing item, click on it and replace the content that’s already there.
If you want to delete something:
Right-click on the item and choose Delete
You’ll also see options like Duplicate, Draft, and more
To add a new field inside the CMS, click Edit Fields and then add whatever you need.
My advice is not to change CMS fields on your own. Instead, email me and I’ll help you the best I can, since this part can get complicated.
Anything you edit here will automatically update on the detail page.
Each CMS collection has its own detail pages. They all share the same layout, but the content is different for every item.
Framer recently added the option to edit content like text and images directly on the page.
The problem happens when you change the layout on a detail page, because that change will automatically apply to all other CMS pages as well.
