Content customization

How to edit content in a template?

Now that we’ve covered the basics, editing content will feel way easier.

You can edit text in three main ways:

  • Text directly on the canvas. Just double-click and type, or select the text layer and edit it from the right panel.

  • Text inside components. Select the component, then change everything from the right panel.

  • Repeating content like projects, case studies, or blog posts. This is edited in the CMS and updates everywhere automatically.

A lot of people think the design is what makes a site convert. I’ll be honest, the copy and how you talk to your audience is often even more important.

Design grabs attention, but copy and content are what actually sell.

Mistakes I see most often with my customers

Using text that’s way longer than the template’s default. This usually breaks the layout and makes the design look messy. Every template comes with a Template Copymap that has the exact structure and sentence length. You can use that Copymap with the custom GPT to write personalized copy that matches the original length.

Every text element has a max width for better balance. If your text is longer, you’ll need to increase the max width at the top of the right panel so it looks balanced again.

Every font behaves differently. Sometimes your font may look bigger than the default one. In that case, just reduce the font size. Stick to the 4pt grid, meaning adjust sizes in steps of 4.
